Monday 16 May 2022

Groundworks

Today the site was levelled and we started to mark out the outline of the house and driveway. It’s very exciting to see the shape of the building laid out on the ground and get a feel for how it sits within the plot.

A small trench was dug at the side of the entrance for the water to come onto the site on Wednesday. This is where the water meter and stop cock valve will be located.

The bank at the top of the site has been dug down further to level the site.

It’s already starting to look a lot different from the grassy field we bought

This is where the electricity will come in thanks to SSE. There’s trench still to be dug for the cable.

Update for Friday 13 May 2022

Groundworks

The bank at the top of the field was dug back ready for the retaining wall and the corner next to the neighbour’s drive was tidied up.

The tree trunk and some of the hedge at the top of the field were dug out in preparation for the electricity cable.

The site was dug down and levelled to start marking out the house layout on Monday.

What a fabulous first week with excellent site preparation progress.
